Social development and accessibility through sport

WBSC introduced a new discipline called “Baseball-5” or Street Baseball for the first time during the 8th Friendship Games that took place in Bujumbura, Burundi. By requiring a smaller field, fewer players and just a rubber ball, this new discipline makes it possible for more people to enjoy the game of baseball/softball while promoting social development in developing countries. Eleven Campaign supports WBSC’s efforts to use this new discipline to engage a larger demographic with the unifying power of sport.
